Asparagus & Mixed Vegetables Grill Recipe

Description:  Time for cooking on the grill!? This great grilling recipe features asparagus, along with a variety of other fresh garden vegetables. They blend together well.


  • 2 Tablespoons brown sugar

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons basil leaves, chopped

  • 2 Tablespoons garlic, minced

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil

  • 10  fresh Asparagus Spears

  • 1 red or yellow bell pepper, cut into thin strips

  • 1 medium zucchini, cut into thin 2" to 3" strips

  • 1 medium yellow squash, cut into thin 2" to 3" strips

  • 2 small potatoes, cut into 1/4" round slices

  • 1small red onion, cut into 1/4" round slices

Preparation Directions:

  1. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, basil, garlic, salt and black pepper.

  2. Place vegetables in a large bowl.

  3. Drizzle olive oil over vegetables and toss to coat well.

  4. Add seasoning mixture and toss to coat vegetables.

  5. Place vegetables in a grill basket.

  6. Grill over medium heat for about 15 minutes, until vegetables are tender.

  7. Occasionally turn vegetables as they are grilling.
