Candied Sweet Potatoes Recipe

Description: Got a sweet tooth? Candied sweet potatoes are a real treat for you!

Yield: 8 servings

Candied Sweet Potatoes Ingredients:

  • 6 sweet potatoes, peeled

  • 2 Tablespoons butter or margarine

  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar

  • 1 1/4 cups water

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

How to Make Candied Sweet Potatoes:

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 ° F.

  2. Cut potatoes into 1/2 inch thick slices.

  3. Arrange slices in a 2 quart casserole dish.

  4. Mix in remaining ingredients.

  5. Cover and bake for 40 minutes.

  6. Remove cover, and continue to bake for an additional 30 minutes or longer, until potatoes are tender.
