Harvard Beets Recipe
Description: This is a basic recipe for cooking beets. Chances
are you've eaten this recipe many times before. Now you can make it with
your fresh grown beets.
Yield: 6 servings
Ingredients:

3 tablespoons corn starch
-
1/3 cup sugar
-
3/4 teaspoon salt
-
1 1/2 cups beet liquid (from cooking beets)
-
2 tablespoons vinegar
-
1 1/2 tablespoons butter or margarine
-
3 cups beets, sliced and cooked
Preparation Directions:

Mix cornstarch, sugar and salt.

Blend in beet liquid, vinegar and butter.

Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly.

Add beets to sauce.

Let stand 10 minutes, to blend flavors.

Re-heat and serve hot.
