Glazed Parsnips Recipe Description

This glazed parsnips recipe is an old-fashioned, easy-to-prepare parsnip recipe.

Glazed Parsnips Recipe Ingredients

10-12 medium parsnips

1/4 cup butter

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon grated orange rind

1/3 cup orange juice

1 Tablespoon lemon juice

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon parsley flakes

Recipe Directions

  1. First, peel the parsnips.
  2. Then, cut it into wheels.
  3. Cook in boiling salt water, until tender.
  4. Drain.
  5. Melt butter in a large skillet.
  6. Add remaining ingredients, except parsley, and stir until thoroughly mixed.
  7. Add parsnips.
  8. Cook on low heat for 5 – 10 minutes, stirring frequently.
  9. Pour into a serving dish.
  10. Sprinkle parsley on top.
  11. Serve hot.
