Mashed Potato Biscuits Recipe
Description: Got leftover mashed potatoes? Almost always, right!?
Well, here is a recipe that uses a little of the leftover.
Potato Biscuits Ingredients:
1 package dry yeast
1/4 cup warm water
1 cup mashed potatoes
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup shortening
2 cups warm water
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups flour
Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water.
Mix together all remaining ingredients, except flour.
Gradually add flour into the mixture, until your can handle the dough. (You
might not need all the flour.)
Knead dough and put into a greased bowl.
Cover and let rise until it doubles in size.
Knead a second time, and let it rise again.
Grease a cookie sheet.
Cut dough into small biscuits.
Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees.
Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes.
