4-6 medium sized potatoes
American or cheddar cheese, grated
bacon, crisply cooked, crumbled
Note: Don't use artificial bacon bits. It just doesn't taste right.
Bake potatoes in oven.
Remove potatoes from oven, cut lengthwise, and scoop out potato, leaving
a little in the shell.
Add a thick layer of cheese.
Top it off with crumbled bacon pieces.
Cook for a few minutes under the broiler, until cheese has thoroughly melted.
Remove from oven and serve hot with sour cream, fresh chives, and fresh parsley
flakes on the side.
Tip: You can also use the microwave to melt the cheese. But, it is
better under the broiler.
