Pumpkin Bisque Recipe Ingredients

3 cups carrots, peeled and chopped

1 medium onion, chopped

2 stalks of celery, chopped

1 clove of garlic, chopped

2 pats butter or margarine

2 (10.75 oz). can chicken broth

3 cups canned pumpkin

12 oz. evaporated milk

1/2 cup water

1 1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice

1/4 tsp. salt

1/8 tsp. black pepper

Directions How to Make Pumpkin Bisque

  1. First, in a small pan add a cup of chicken broth and cook the carrots, onions, celery, and garlic until soft.
  2. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. Next, pour vegetables and broth into a blender. Process until smooth.
  4. Pour the mixture into a 3-quart saucepan.
  5. Add remaining broth, pumpkin, evaporated milk, water, and spices.
  6. Cover and cook on medium heat until hot.
  7. Serve hot.
