Succotash Recipe

Description:  Many people have never had Succotash. Many people do not even know what is is made of. You can change that by serving this Succotash recipe to family and friends.


Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups cooked (or canned) snap, shell or lima beans

  • 1 1/2 cups cooked (or canned corn)

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 2 Tablespoons butter or margarine

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • a dash or two of black pepper


Preparation Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Keep 1/2 cup of liquid from cooking the beans and squash.

  3. Pour 1/2 cup of  liquid and all ingredients into a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish.

  4. Stir to mix.

  5. Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes.

  6. Serve hot.
