Is it true that you can just put a stalk of a lilac in the ground and it will grow?

  3. I appreciated the information about the Trumpet tree. I bought a small green leaf at a grocery store for 25 cents (the label was gone and it was end of season) I have never had so much fun, watching something grow into what I now have on my patio. Not quite 2 meters high, with beautiful peach-yellow blossoms. BUT it is getting cold where I live so I desperately need to know if I need to find a green house for it over the winter or can I leave it out side? It gets down to maybe 10 degrees Centigrad on occasion, but only for a few days at a time. We have some snow for a couple of months but it never lasts long because the temperature is more often around zero (32 Fahrenheit) Help! What do I do?

Would it be ok to re-plant my 3 year old cherry tree now? There is blossom on it!

Spring is a great time to replant trees and shrubs. Dig deep and wide to get as many roots as possible. You might lost the blossom. But, if you wait until next year, you risk losing many more blossoms.
