Mashed Carrots and Turnips Recipe Description

Recipe Ingredients

2 bunches of carrots

1 large turnip

1/4 cup water

2 Tablespoons butter or margarine

1/3 cup brown sugar

salt and pepper, to taste

Mashed Carrots and Turnips Directions

  1. Peel carrots and turnip.
  2. Cook separately in boiling water, until tender. (they turn tender at slightly different times.)
  3. Drain and place in a mixing bowl.
  4. Add butter or margarine, and brown sugar.
  5. Mash with mixer until smooth.
  6. Salt and pepper, to taste.
  7. Serve hot.
