Butternut squash, cooked on the grill, is a great treat. You can use this grilled butternut squash recipe with any variety of winter squash.

1 butternut squash
olive oil
salt and pepper, to taste
Wash the outside of the butternut squash.
Slice squash into 1/2″ to 3/4″ slices.
Remove seeds and pulp from slices on the bottom end.
Brush both sides of the slices with olive oil.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Grilled over medium heat.
When squash is brown on one side, turn over.
Pierce with a fork, to test if it is tender(soft).
Remove from grill when squash is tender.
Serve hot.
