Leeks Au Gratin Recipe Ingredients

two bunches of leeks

1 teaspoon salt

pepper to taste

3/4 cup grated cheddar cheese

Tip: Try different types of cheeses, if you prefer.

Preparation Directions

  1. Wash and trim leeks.
  2. Cook leeks in boiling salt water until they are tender.
  3. Drain and arrange leeks on a buttered baking dish.
  4. Pepper leeks to taste.
  5. Sprinkle grated cheese over leeks.
  6. Heat under broiler until cheese is melted.

Recipe Tip: Heat on the grill with the cover closed, for a slightly smoky flavor.
