Horseradish Mashed Potato Recipe Description

Many people say potatoes are bland and almost tasteless until you put something on them. This Horseradish Mashed Potato recipe adds a little “zip” to your mashed potatoes.

Horseradish Mashed Potatoes Recipe Ingredients

5 pounds potatoes

2 cups heavy cream

2 cups milk

1 Tbs. butter or margarine

1/2 cup horseradish, peeled and grated

1/2 teaspoon parsley

salt and black pepper to taste

2 cupsMilk
1 TbsButter or margarine
1/2 cup horseradishHorseradish, peeled and grated
1/2 tsp. Parsley
 Salt and Pepper, to taste

 

Recipe Directions

  1. Peel potatoes and boil in a large pot until soft.
  2. While potatoes are cooking, add cream, milk, butter, and horseradish in a saucepan.
  3. Add salt and pepper, if desired.
  4. Simmer over medium heat for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Turn off the heat and set it aside.
  5. When potatoes are done, drain off water and mash until smooth.
  6. Slowly add in creamed horseradish mixture and blend together well.
  7. Pour mashed potatoes into a serving bowl.
  8. Sprinkle parsley over the top. 
  9. Serve hot.
