Succotash Recipe

Description:  Many people have never had Succotash. Many people do not even know what is made of. You can change that by serving this Succotash recipe to family and friends.


  • 1 1/2 cups cooked (or canned) snap, shell or lima beans

  • 1 1/2 cups cooked (or canned corn)

  • 1/2 cup milk

  • 2 Tablespoons butter or margarine

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • a dash or two of black pepper

Preparation Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.

  2. Keep 1/2 cup of liquid from cooking the beans and squash.

  3. Pour 1/2 cup of  liquid and all ingredients into a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish.

  4. Stir to mix.

  5. Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes.

  6. Serve hot.
